EHRS is delighted to present Stonegrove Serenade, a series of concerts at EHRS. Every month, please join us for music featuring up and coming classical musicians. Audiences and musicians alike have praised Stonegrove Serenade’s fantastic acoustics, intimate concert setting and warm welcome and attendees have been bowled over with the standard of talent the series has attracted. Café 118 has delighted customers with its fresh and tasty homemade food. Some of the comments we have received is that its ‘an oasis of calm’ and ‘it doesn’t matter if you’re on your own, there is always someone friendly to sit with’.

We welcome guitarist Nikos Baroutsakis
Nikos is an accomplished musician with an Artist Diploma in Performance from the Royal College of Music, London. He has performed at prestigious venues such as the Victoria and Albert Museum, Bridewell Theatre, Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Marchland Festival, Sofar Sounds, and Debut Opera. Born in Athens in 1989, Nikos began his formal guitar studies as a teenager under the guidance of Dimitris Pappas. He later pursued his education at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, where he earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in music. Nikos has developed his skills through participation in various musical programmes, including the Volterra Project Summer Guitar Institute in Tuscany, where he attended twice. Additionally, he has had the privilege of learning from highly acclaimed guitarists in specialized masterclasses. One of Nikos’s notable achievements is his arrangement for two guitars of the orchestral work “The Light” by Phillip Glass. This arrangement premiered in Brussels in 2015, garnering significant critical acclaim for its artistic interpretation. Nikos performs on a guitar crafted by Antonio Marin Montero from Granada, Spain. Today’s programme features several classical guitar compositions, including two pieces from Francisco Tárrega, who is widely regarded as one of history’s most celebrated classical guitar composers.
Café 118 will be opening for lunch before the concert, serving a light lunch including paella & sangria and will stay open after the concert for tea and cake. Please note when booking if you will be using the café.
