Rabbi Ignaz Maybaum z’’l was the first Rabbi of Edgware and Hendon Reform Synagogue in 1948 having served several Liberal congregations in Germany since 1928 before arriving in the UK in 1939. He was a scholar and a theologian and the first lecturer at Leo Baeck College on Comparative Religion, Theology and Homiletics. Rabbi Mark’s shiur will discuss his life and work and why what he had to say can remains important today. In person and on Zoom.
