Chanukkah has become one of the most well-known festivals of the Jewish calendar. Yet this is a relatively new phenomenon, and is no doubt impacted by the festivals proximity to other festivals! As British Jews, however, we can really appreciate the delight of celebrating a festival of lights at the darkest and coldest time of year. In fact Chanukkah is timed to coincide with not just the shortest days, but the darkest nights, when the moon is at its slimmest.

Bring your Menorah and candles, and be part of our special last night of Chanukkah Event.
Chanukkiah lighting, fireworks and sparklers party here in the EHRS courtyard with latkes, doughnuts, mulled wine and hot chocolate.
