Stonegrove Serenade – Music for the Community

EHRS is delighted to present Stonegrove Serenade, a series of concerts at EHRS. Every month, please join us for music featuring up and coming classical musicians.

Audiences and musicians alike have praised Stonegrove Serenade’s fantastic acoustics, intimate concert setting and warm welcome and attendees have been bowled over with the standard of talent the series has attracted. Café 118 has delighted customers with its fresh and tasty homemade food. Some of the comments we have received is that its ‘an oasis of calm’ and ‘it doesn’t matter if you’re on your own, there is always someone friendly to sit with’.

Tuesday 15 October, 13:00
We welcome the Hanover Square String Quartet to perform their programme, Between Worlds , at EHRS

Hanover Square Quartet
Debbie Diamond Violin 1, Rebecca Harris Violin 2, Emma Alter, Viola, Poppy Walshaw Cello
The Hanover Square Quartet explores the string quartet repertoire on original instruments. We have an eye on historical research, and the other on the vitality and spontaneity that these composers demand.
Whilst Hanover Square Quartet is a new ensemble, formed during Lockdown, its members are musicians of maturity. Individually, the members of Hanover Square Quartet are amongst the top specialist players in the UK. They play with world leading period instrument groups, such as Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Hanover Band, Academy of Ancient Music, Gabrieli Consort, Arcangelo, I Fagiolini, and English Concert to name a few of the many.

We invite you to enjoy a light lunch in our pop up cafe before the concert. ‘Cafe 118’ will be open 12:00. The café will re-open after the concert with drinks, cake and a chat. Please note when booking if you will be using the café.

All are welcome. Admission is free, suggested donation £5.
