New Machzor

The highly anticipated ninth edition of Forms of Prayer: Days of Awe is our Reform Machzor for a new generation, the first new edition since 1985.

It will enable us to make the extraordinary journeys of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in a way that expresses our Reform Jewish values and our place in Jewish tradition. There are separate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur volumes.

*Celebrate this exciting moment and make your mark on the new Machzor*
We invite you to dedicate a Machzor set for our Synagogue members and guests to use. Your dedication will appear on an elegant bookplate on the inside front cover, and can include up to 18 words of text to commemorate the life of a loved one, a special occasion, or something else that is important to you.

Examples:
To commemorate our Golden Wedding Anniversary and many happy years at EHRS, Lawrence and Shirley Gold
In loving memory of Janet Harris, missed dearly, may her memory be for a blessing
In celebration of Mia’s Bat Mitzvah, Mazel Tov from her parents Samantha and Robert Joseph
To EHRS, a place of care and support throughout our lives, Joyce and John Hillel

*If you would like to make a purchase but aren’t yet sure about what dedication you would like, this is not a problem. We will note your purchase and follow up when the bookplates are to be printed.*

Your book/s will be part of the Synagogue Machzorim for a generation, and you never know, you may pick up the copy you dedicated when you join us on High Holy Days!
The cost is £45 for a whole High Holy Days set, or £22.50 for either Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur.
(Personal copies of the Machzor will be available to purchase from EHRS in the Spring 2024)
