Join Rabbi Kraft for a Bite of Torah which will study and discuss some of the teachings in Pirke Avot; a collection of ethical and moral teachings going back 2,000 years to the time of the Mishna. Topics will include that the teachings of wisdom must be based on a moral code; fear of Heaven and must be translated into actual practice; and the importance of having a good character in the application of wisdom.
Lunch & Learn
Saturday 17 August, 13:00
Each Passover we tell the story of what it was like to be slaves in a foreign land, and remind ourselves to celebrate the gift of freedom. The 23rd of August marks the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition.
